Unconscious and not breathing
If someone is unconscious and not breathing normally,
Call 112 / 911 / 999 (or another number for a country you're in), explain the situation, and tell them your location
If not working, find an emergency number for your country here.
Start cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) straight away (videos are below).
How to Give CPR to a Baby:
Start with 5 puffs: blow air in their airways 5 times in a row
Then make 30 pumps in 15 seconds (2 per second): push with 2 fingers on a 1/3 of the chest's depth
Follow by 2 puffs
Continue with 30 pumps and 2 puffs until help arrives or they become responsive
How to Give CPR to an Adult:
Start with 2 puffs: close their nose and blow air in their airways 2 times
Then make 30 pumps in 15 seconds (2 per second):
Put a heel of your hand on a breastbone right in the center
Place another hand on top and link fingers
Do 30 pumps (2 per second) pushing for 5-7 cm
Close their nose and follow by 2 puffs
Continue with 30 pumps and 2 puffs until help arrives or they become responsive
